"The Taming of the Shrew"

This scene at the end of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew depicts Kate having told the other wives that they should let their husbands stand on their hands if it makes the husband more comfortable. Even though it is a comedy, some women today have a little trouble with this scene. The actress playing Kate often winks at the audience to show them that she is not serious.
